By the mid.1980's building 50 is now nearly 100 years old and vacant. Vandels have moved through taking furniture,door knobs,facet fixtures and anything else they can carry.what was once a packed full,almost self-supporting, mental health institution,now sets empty and abandoned. The brain storm of Dr.Thomas Story Kirkbride along with his massive structure of care sets empty.

I wonder how many of these vandals are former clients looking for a memory piece from their expereince there and how many are looking for something to sell on E bay? I wonder what will be next there at that location? Good work!
