I took this picture on my way up to Pike's Peak. I was driving with one hand and snapping pictures with camera phone with the other. The quality isn't the greatest, but I thought I'd share it and welcome critique regarding composition and all that good stuff. I'm an ameteur so any pointers on how to take a better picture are appreciated!

Hi there! Glad to see you posting. You have the right idea for composition. It is really tough to shoot through glass without some distortion and reflections. Also, when one is driving, it makes it even tougher (I know, I have done it myself a lot of times :). Also, a camera phone really loses quality for you on an image and doesn't represent what the eye really sees. I think you are on the right track though and have a very open mind and are willing to keep trying and to keep learning like all of us do here at caedes.net. Glad to have you aboard as an artist and looking forward to seeing more posts from you.

I agree with mimi, camera phones are not that great, I suggest you buy a point and shoot camera. Go to the discussion board on the right side of this page, click on that, then click on photograghy, you will get alot of advice there from our friendly Caedes members. hope this helps, look forward to new pics from you.

Thanks. I appreciate the comments. I am definitely open as far as comments, criticism, and advice. I definitely do need a real camera. I'll check the discussion board and start researching cameras. I've got a few more decent pictures I took from my trip that I might post for help with composition. Thanks again :)
