This is my first "real" contribution to caedes. I just got a Nikon D40x and this is one of the first pictures I took with it. It looks kinda like it's the sun, but it's actually the moon. As soon as I saw the moon outside, I snapped a couple of photos. I wanted to get a nice sharp picture, but by the time I changed settings on the camera the clouds had already covered the moon. It taught me that there is a thin line between patience, just getting the shot, and a nice "oops". I'm a total ameteur so please critique away!

I'm an amateur myself so all I can say is that it's a nice cotribution to the site;-) with time you'll see you can take better and better shots and you'll probably see what interests you most;-) good luck and all the best ;-)

I like it but it is a little grainy... keep up the good work!

I'm another amateur too but I love this shot - something very serene about it ... the lighting is fantastic, very unique. Wish I had something more helpful to tell you, but I just like it :)

~ Most of the backyard-type moon shots here are just a black sky & the moon as a white dot. I love that yours shows the awesome lit up clouds. Nice work!
