The city of FES, Morocco is over 1200 years old and is home to over one million people. It is a walled city and there are no autos on the streets below because there is room only for perhaps a donkey and some people to pass. This is the old city of Fes El Bali. The new part of the city where there are cars is call Fes Jdid, which was built by the French and is more modern and there are vehicles in the streets. Fes was the capital of Morocco until 1912 when Rabat became the new capital city.~~~~I tried to make this look old, but the antennae belie the fact that it is a modern image.

This is a nice B/W over the rooftops view Cindy. The B/W give the scene the right look too.

You forget how long TV and radio has been around... Time moves on, Cindy. You could easily date this photo 1957. Is that considered old?

That tile on the roof is slammin. Good work on the old look

Thats a Great scenic View, Cindy!! I'm actually Amazed at the Scarcity of Antennae, here... as Other European cities are Littered with Them across the Rooftops! Perhaps Most have already Moved on to Cable? The terracotta is Accentuated nicely with the B&W!!

The patterns from the tiling makes for a great perspective, COG.
Did you happen to meet a Fiddler while shooting this?
Great shot.

I would hate to think that 1957 is considered old, as Dan asks. That would make me ancient! LOL. Excellent work on this shot, Cindy. I like it!

Really good work with your editing Cindy - it does have that aged look.

Very nice b/w tones and the composition makes it an artwork!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
