Taken from part way up the Mt Yamnuska hike, we almost made it up there, except it was already really snowy on the back side, and dangerously slippery so we didnt quite make it up although you can see other pictures in my gallery from part way up. Digital polarizer applied in this picture :)

Beautiful capture of the rocky castle. It is funny I have just started a new series of the medieval ruins (when we are talking about castles) and here we are - someone shares my interests, lol. I wonder: did you work on saturation, the colours are so vivid, so vibrant - awsome! The composition couldn't be better. The hill ascends gradually up to the castle reflecting the warm afternoon sunlight.
I love it - you deserve 10!

In this sun and color filled shot it's hard to believe that there is snow anywhere around. A lovely capture of the peak and its view into the valley

taken raw, then apply one adjustment while only looking at sky to make it the best possible, then export to PS, then do that again, except for the mountain, and finally a third time for the trees. a key here is to only sharpen the castle and trees, not sky.

then using masks in PS (or any other program) combine the layers accordingly, and apply extra sharpening to layers that need it. i realize now i forgot it, but i forgot to do any burning and dodging on this shot, oh well it didnt really need it.

Well, I don't understand aall this digital polarizing explantion that was given above...I just know a photo I like when I see it. Lots of variety in this one from snow capped mountains to forrested hillside to rocky crag. I like the various that intercede with each other in a pleasing manner. Only complaint Ai have is, I don't know where this was taken. I do not regognize the title.
Grrrrrrrrreat capture.

I just want to bring to your attention what you said awhile back.

" there is lots of climbing that goes on up there. myself, im not much of a climber, but on a map i saw there are around 6 routes up the face. "

I just don't want you to forget you arn't much of a climber:P.
