Stephanie, you certainly must of done well with this photo. Though the assignment was a study of shadows, which you clearly have captured, I like the geometry of your post, too. Your shadows have created wonderful diagonals across the center and you have trapezoids, rectangles, and squares. I hope you got extra credit!
