The dancer figurine is a actually a on top of a music box. I cropped out the music box, so it looked like the dancer was standing on pointe. Then I used the stained glass filter in photoshop.

its a nice concept and well done but i personally i would have gone for somethng softer in the background and more fitting to the subject such as background inspired by Impressionist artists for instance.
