I love how the bright green moss looks on the wood.

I suppose this is worse than the bite, hmmm? (Sorry, I was reaching for that one.) =-]
Turned on it's side it would make a cool background for a wide screen.

An interesting composition - it looks ancient.

As I've said before I am a person who loves simplicity and i also equally love bright colors. When I find a picture that can do them both it is truly a work of art for me. This is one of those pictures. I, too, enjoy the bright green moss against the simplicity of the brown bark. It makes the bark look less dull in my opinion. Keep up the great work! <3

Stephanie...Maybe it's just me, but this isn't one of your best works in my humble opinion. In the wood category, I like both "Wood Matrix: and "Zebra Wood" better than this one. The photographs of the butterflies are outstanding.

My measure, for what it's worth, of a picture is as follows:

Could I take that picture? 5 out of 10
Could I take that picture better? Less than 5 out of 10.

Because I have taken many pictures like this one, I give it a 5; but I also agree with the folks above about the texture and color.
