This is a Gold Medal Yellow Rose Bush. Every time it blooms, I never know what to expect, as for as what colors will be blended with the yellow. As you see with this one, it has a shade of pink along with a tint of orange in the center. Hope you enjoy the look of this rose. Still working to find the perfect composition & contrast for the perfect rose. I really value your comments,of my photos. It helps me to improve my shots. Thanks to all, that try to help me to become better.

What I've noticed on several of your shots is a focus not as sharp as it should be. If you're shooting flowers you may want to use a macro mode or macro lens. On this shot there is a bit too much background. The rose and it's adjacent petals should fill most of the shot. It looks to me you needed to be about a foot closer and refocus. I like your flower choices - practice helps a lot.

Beautiful Rose, Danny. Centering the subject immediately loses substantial impact as the viewers eyes tend to toggle back and forth to either side, immediately after going straight to the subject.
Cropping in from the Left border to just short of the long leaf, Down from the top (the same), and even in from the right to take out the leaf coming in from the bottom right, or in this case you could just clone over the leaf to provide more space in the direction it's facing.

I like the rose itself, but lot of the spots on the leaves could be cloned out. If you have a photo program the photo could be sharpened a bit. All-in-all though it is not a bad shot. Thanks for sharing.

You have been given good advice for bettering the image so I'm going to comment on the rose itself. It's beautiful. The name of the rose is gold medal? I'm looking to replace some of my rose bushes and this looks like a good one to use.
Also, I have learned that there can be no wind for close up flower shots that are to be in crisp focus.

A lovely looking rose with nice pale colours in the petals. I have no further advice outside of what the others have said. Good job and thanks for sharing.
