By now you will see this is not a fractal, but an image shot straight up into the glass dome over the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa. It is about 5 storeys tall from where I'm standing ....
What a great natural fractal you spotted Dave! I really like the calm colors plus the natural light that is in this image. You did a great job of pretty much making it "even" on all four sides (now that is something I still struggle with :) All the different angles will make this a fascinating desktop. I am downloading this into my favorites folder as well as into my caedes.net screensaver slideshow folder. Well done. Thanks for posting it :~)
I would agree with mimi on how you did a great job at capturing this unique natural fractal. Another thing I would comment on this was the beam of sunlight that in my opinion is a really cool effect for the image. overall I'd have to say you did a Great Job! 9/10
This sure fooled me before I read the title and description...thought it was a fractal with some very classy design and colors...just the same, a great abstract shot...good clarity and positioning...well done.:Pat.
Dave, did you mention something about seeing patterns that other don't see...?
Well I guess that applies to you for sure!
Well done, it's beautiful!
Thanks for sharing this one!
Paul
Haha! I knew it was the National Galley of Canada! I was just there last week for their exhibit of Norval Morriseau (which is a stunning exhibit by the way).
And not to mention, a great picture! Great to see something local on Caedes, for once.
i don't normally go for symmetrical stuff, but this is very well done. you centered this out very well and its definitiely interesting to look at, especially with the bit of light in the center
