This interesting young lady, entitled 'Mamam', was sculpted by Louise Bourgeois and resides for the time being in front of the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa. Notre Dame Basilica is in the back. There are 5 other such spiders who all move around the world on display.

Yeah...I've heard of these "migrating sculpture spiders"...Haven't seen one in person yet, but who knows where one may turn up...Excellent capture!

I'm glad you explained about the spiders. I was wondering why it looked so familiar.

It's got to be a scene from the latest version of Wild Wild West. Interesting.

I got this in the voting booth Dave and found it fascinating, well shot and framed out great! I hate spiders, but when I know they are not alive, it doesnt bother me. What a clever idea with moving them around. There was a cow display in Chicago that had cows all over the city and here in St. Louis, it was called the "people project". Different artists made life size people and they were posed in various places. It was a great attraction as well as seeing art. This is a way cool capture.
Also, thanks for the glowing words you left on ~meditation~. The feeling that you got was the one that was present here. IT was warm and serene and peaceful. I am glad that you enjoyed it. Your support, comments and critiques are deeply appreciated :~)

Interesting! At first glance, the small shot made me think the subject was two rockets ready to launch. It looks like you got on the pavement to get this one. Nice perspective.

Did you say the spider moves? That's when you would find my camera lying on the ground and the photographer "legging" it. Interesting capture. How about someone lying underneath the thing as in being eaten alive? This is a clear, well focused photo.
