This shot has lots of interesting textures, and these are enhanced well by your decision to render the image in b/w - good work. I like the inclusion of such a range of everyday objects - the cat's world - but I do feel that the plant dominates a little too much. Might I encourage you to take another shot, with the cat taking up proportionately more of the overall area of the frame and perhaps a little nearer on the carpet. That's if he will pose of course. As the old saying goes, dogs have masters but cats have staff. :-)

I like your capture, and in grayscale it really gives it a film noir feel. However the slight motion blur kept distracting me from my enjoyment of all the different elements. As a pet lover, this is a great shot and fun wallpaper. As a photo critique, I think there is some room for improvement, and I agree with the suggestions made by .krt about the plant overpowering the shot.
