You were right to emphasize the sky aspect in this composition. The plane seems to take the eye first, because it seems the natural subject, but it is a dark object and not a great candidate for the center piece in this particular upload. The sky's the show stopper here, and you've done a great job of presenting it in title, narrative and in the photograph as well.

Has more a look of impending doom to me as if the last rays of light were being shut out.
The composition is pleasant with the plane in the one corner and the Sun in the opposite. Not sure if more color would work better or something monochromatic.
However, try a little cropping of the bottom and take some of the runway off.

The story here is great whether it be a tale of warning or that of inspiration. Look to the heavens for answers.

I would like to be in that plane and to rise up over the clouds.

wow beatiful picture, beautiful portrayal of the rule of thirds, also a perfect title. What a sight that must have been, good thing ya had the camera. Do you own an airplane or somthing, i have seen some of your other beatiful photos with planes in them.
