Here's another view of the swamp (#6 of the series) the thing I liked the most from this shot were the way the trees looked, not sure what they are called ... First person to figure it out gets a fresh box of Florida Oranges .... or Alligator tails ...:)

Those are thin Cypress trees and the filmy gray material is Spanish Moss. Spanish Moss is not an actual moss but a flowering plant that attaches itself to trees and absorbs nutrients from rainfall and the air. An epiphyte, it is normally known colloquially as an "air plant." The Cypress, typically a swamp tree, has been around since at least the Mesozoic era, between 65 and 136 million years ago. In fact, at that time, the equator was much further north and North Dakota, often joked about as the frozen tundra, was tropical and a place where the Cypress flourished. Who knows what trees will be growing in America's "deep south" millions of years from now? Maybe what are Everglades now will then be the frozen tundra?

What are you giving away for second place? I agree with Nikoneer. LOL. This shot makes a statement. It is saying...stay away if you don't want to be gator bait. Excellent shot. I like those reflections in the still water. Good work, Jelly.
