Here's another interesting instrument ... The Rack ... This was the "Ultimate" in torture at the Tower of London... One gruesome aspect the prisoner had the possibility of looking forward to is being stretched too far on the rack. First you would hear / feel the loud popping noises made by your snapping cartilage, ligaments or bones. Eventually, if they continue to "Stretch" you on the rack, the prisoner's limbs are completely separated from their body. One powerful impression and "inspire" the prisoner to talk was to merely force him to view other prisoner being subjected to the rack. If the prisoner didn't die on the Rack they would need to be dragged to the scaffold to be executed .. Reason being was that they couldn't walk ... The rack above is of course a replica ... I brightened the photo a little bit so you can see the outline of a man strapped into the rack ... Hope you enjoy and thanks for your thoughts and comments ...

They must have had a contest back then to see who could devise the most cruel type of torture and punishment. Losing your head seems mild in comparison. At least it was quick. Another nice shot. Now there's a good way to be executed. One last cigarette and no blindfold if you please Jelly.

I think I would rather have my head chopped off. That would really hurt. Nice shot, Jelly. Thanks for the image, and the info.
