Well every house / castle has one ... This "toilet" is in the White Towers second or third floor.... Just a simple hole in the wood .. this is like a closet sized space with a seat .. when you look through the hole you will see a curved hole leading outside. The hole used to lead outside to the moat that encircled the White Tower .. I can only imagine the "fragrance" .. :) Here is a link to another website "Historic Royal Palaces that talks about Toilets and Bathrooms ...Toilets and bathrooms. Enjoy and thanks for your thoughts and comments....

Your enlightening photo is now on exhibit in 2 mens' stalls and 3 womens' stalls in my office building. And you get full credit, Jelly, thanks. :D

What is that Floating in the Moat? I don't know but the fish are dying. It is probably worse when the wind is out of the North. Great post Jelly.
I would never get up from my constitutional. :)

We had one like that where I used to work. Directly below, was the boss's desk. LOL. Very interesting, Jelly.
