This is Silver Lake in the California Sierras in early spring, just as the ice is beginning to melt. The foremost trees in this shot are usually on a very small island. Thanks to all who view and comment.
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

Donna, today it was relative hot in the Netherlands (unusual for this time of the year). I hope you'll understand that this beautiful image makes me shivering now, brrr, brrr. Very well captured. Regards, Cornelius

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Very nice shot. If this is the lake that I think it is, it is one of my very favorite places. Northern Cal above Meadow Valley in Plumas County??? If so, take a look at my "Silver Lake Sunrise", it's the same place. It looks like you're looking in a northerly direction while mine was taken towards the east. Beautiful shot, it makes me want to be there.
