More water flowing over rocks, but I thought the movement and lighting in this particular image was intriguing, almost making it appear abstract. To me, the rocks feel alive. Thanks to all who view and comment.

Sometimes when I see these shots where the exposure is long and it captures the water flow so well, if it doesn't also pick up on softly moving colors on the rocks around it. The rocks are nice and clear, but they also have a lot of color to them. I don't know if that was just there, or if there was some dappled sunlight that got caught too!! Anyway, it's very lovely, Donna.

Here is what I love about this frame: 1) That the eye has several pathways around and around - and they all have something special; 2) That in the middle of all this soft yellow green you give us a slick red slab to lean on; 3) That the whites have their own story -- after whisping out of the rocks the lines spatterfractal out at an angle leading down to nothing but a smoke-whiff reflection on the rock. Superb.
"There are no rules and regulations for perfect composition. If there were we would be able to put all the information into a computer and would come out with a masterpiece. We know that's impossible. You have to compose by the seat of your pants." -Arnold Newman
What a great shot...I'm really jealous about how you can make something that is probably no bigger than an inch deep seem really expansive! And your absolutely right, the lighting is great and I especially like the little bit of movement you've captured...I think if all the water were blurred it wouldn't have the same feeling. Very well done!!
As there is a difference in the number of views and the numer of downloads, I like to encourage other people to watch this image at full screen size. Only then the proper impression of its beauty can be 'discoverd'. Donna, you've captured a wonderful image. Regards, Cornelius
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.
