This is the staircase leading up to my room in the second house of the Villa we rented in Tuscany. I was intrigued by the lines, colors and textures. Thanks to all who view and comment.

They have some really terrific masons there and grill makers too. The colors are reminiscent of American SW. I like that all the stones are different sizes, colors and shapes and that gorgeous orange bowl just completes the whole shot. It's like something from a magazine/ A wonderful perspective that includes all the right elements. So nicely done, Donna. +fav

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Lots of elements in this one...I think both the wall and the window would also make good standalone pics.

Remember, that buildings like this where not done to atract views. They used what they could. There where no machines to carve staircase steps, each step would have been made by hand. But oh well, they lacked the internet in those days, so... they had time to carve it i guess. What a lovely sight Donna ! :-)
