Utrecht, NL - July, 1985 - Saturn booster dominates Utrecht skyline... well, sort of. While the rest of Europe was putting green net in front of ongoing renovations, the innovative Dutch used this life-size painting commemorating the US lunar exploration program to protect bystanders at the site of a church steeple renovation. In the early morning mist, it was impossible to tell the difference a km away.

My comments are always made from the heart with honesty and the utmost respect for the artist whose work I am commenting on. If I make suggestions, I wish them to only be taken in the sense that I want to be helpful and not harmful in any way. If I praise your work, I mean every word.

Don, hope that people will realize that you, as an American citizen, captured this image in Holland (or The Netherlands) about 22 years ago and that it's posted on Caedes now. The subject matter and the quality of the image (after 22 years!) aren't only amazing to me, but wonderful as well. Very good work. Thanks a lot for posting it.

It almost seems 'blastphemous'! Inventive, aren't they? Unusual post, Don. Thanks.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Hmm, fun to see a image shot from my city, shot by someone else !
Yes, i can still remember that Saturn 5 against the Dom tower. Seeing that tower is
aprox. 1100 years old, it does need some renovations every now and then.
Thanks for the reminder !
