This is the view to the south from the door of Thoreau's cabin in Walden Wood when he penned, "Though the view from my door was still more contracted, I did not feel crowded or confined in the least. There was pasture enough for my imagination."

I agree, the shadow work is excellent. I like the extension of the tree shadows running down the page. I also like the eye flow from the dark framework to the lighted background.

I too agree that there's a nice play of light and dark! But am afraid that I can't see the wood cause of all them trees blocking my view. LOL
