The story I got is this flower just followed her home. I thought there were leash laws in this town. People shouldn't let their plants roam the streets like that.

09/03/2008 - This specimen is from the genus, Anthurium. I don't recall the species, but the common name for this variety is "Heart of Hawaii".

This is a lovely shot and set against the wood grain background further enhances it. Wonderful colour too. This is one plant I dont know the name of, but is still quite stunning! Good one!

Don, this is quite stunning. Your clarity and detail is exceptional. The red and green colors contrast so very well and are brought forward by the brown background. Very nice work!

John has mentioned above the correct name of this plant. In Holland sometimes this plant is called by its nickname 'Flamingo plant' as well. Excellent image with vibrant colours Don!

Boy Howdy, I wish a plant like that would follow me home. It certainly ended up in the right place for having its portrait done. Perhaps word is getting around in your town about your abilities to capture red flowers!

Beautiful waxy leaves and petal and such wonderful color. Now, you can't blame your wife for falling for this wonderful flower.
She must have a green thumb.
