This is as close as I go without a safety line. To the east, the summit rolls gently into a cluster of pines. But to the west, it's a 500 meter drop with only a couple of bounces before the sudden stop in a coniferous forest.

Interesting, Don. Is this a dead volcano or just a formation of the mountains?

A wonderful vista from this viewpoint and it is an excellent shot - the colours are natural. I think that was quite close enough!

Awesome shot Don. You still got a bit close for me! It was worth it though.

I'm sure that I can see clear to Massachusetts from this point, Don! Wow, that is totally awesome! What a fantastic view from up here! I sure wouldn't want to bounce my way down either. Wonderful shot!

HolyManoly!!Talk about the edge, and since I do not like high places...I have to look way beyond the frontal part, but I sure do like the distance of this whole photo Don..."a couple of bounces"???!!!!! Yikes!!!!! Glad you are here to tell about it.V
