JaLynn demonstrates the use of the syncro-sun method of lighting. The filling flash is balanced to the sunlight to produce a shadow to light ratio of approximately 1:3. This results in a frown-free subject without harsh shadow.

Well done, Don. JyLynn's smile brightens up your hibiscus as well. Smooth look overall without harsh contrast between light and shade.

Okay, you got me with the light/shadow thing, but I'll accept that based on your shot. Such a pretty young lady, you are Jal Lynn. I like the way you are holding the hibiscus so that I can see your pretty red ring too and I like the star necklaces. This is a happy shot, Don. I am still smiling.

This is a delightful capture of not only the flower but the beautiful young girl next to it. You have certainly got the lighting spot on in this capture. Well done!
