The red version of Moss Rose I posted a while back. This member of the Portulaca family is not only beautiful, but also lends a light lemony flavor to a number of my favorite fish dishes.

A nice colourful shot Don, but if you eat them, all the colour will be gone.

Nice shot Don. We have several of these growing around the rosebeds. The happy little plants are almost always in bloom once they get started. Very nice.

I use these for accents in my flower beds in addition to their culinary value.

Many thanks for dropping by "Red Moss Rose", Christer. I have found that a little color often adds to any meal. This plant just happens to contribute twice. I pick about half the blooms and let the rest brighten the flowerbed. It seems to encourage more blooms. The mild lemon goes with many dishes.
