That's what the Hawaiins call the koi swimming through this gorgeous pond. I LOVE this picture I can't believe how beautiful it came out considering I didn't edit it AT ALL. I'm serious! What do ya think?

The colors are certainly pretty and the water is smooth and clear. The subject matter could be considered controversial, but overall, it is a very interesting upload.

The Hawaiians have it right -- these are spectacularly colored. Your shot is improved by having caught the reflection from a blue sky, which makes the water look great. Nice capture.

Great shot! Try using "smart sharpness" in photoshop. When the image is enlarged there is an obvious motion blur with the foreground orange fish. Also it will bring out his buddy on the left a little sharper as well. It's truly a difficult challenge to capture these creatues so sharply because of their incredible quickness! Looks like you did an amazing job without editing with what you had! May I ask, what was the shutter speed?

Vanessa,
This is a great capture.
Smooth uncluttered foreground, centre dominated clearly by two koi, background contrasted to foreground with lots of action and visual complexity. Lots of reflection with almost no glare, hard to get photographing water this close and that lovely repetition of ripple circles on the water.
If you have processing software it could be tweaked further, for sure but I'm jealous of you for the original capture!

Truth is simply strange.
