The combination of title + image makes me think of one of those really massive slides you sometimes see at fairs. Some are basically a vertical drop, but not all, I guess. This one has marvellous looking bumps in it and is beautiful as well as looking like a lot of fun. It has a nice gentle landing at the end so, yes, a soft landing if not in quite the sense I thought at first.
