This image was taken through the fence, looking at my neighbor's yard. The yellow flowers are collard green blooms.

Interesting image, it leaves a lot to the imagination about where the truck has been and for what it has collected. The flowers add to the image and interest beyond the truck also. Softens the story. Like it. Jodie

I had the pleasure of getting this in the VB and just had to stop by and comment . The old truck really adds character to this and as far as the collards go- they are so good when they come fresh from the garden- yummy. I really like this- a very well composed photo.

I just got this image in the voting booth also, and I must say I gave it high marks, because this photo has TONS of character! I can just feel the story lurking behind that old truck..I wonder how longs its been sitting there. It would be great fun to give it a total makeover and have a true classic of my own! Wow. And I love how you went ahead and left the fence as part of the photo and the flowers(collard greens YUMM for those.).. just add the perfect gentle touch to the whole scene. Its a very well composed picture. I really like it ever so much!! Verena

Thanks folks! I have a soft spot for flowers and derelict things (houses, cars, etc) and this one combined both.

I was literally pushing the lens through the fence to get it. I'm glad it turned out well!

Hello Heather
Being a practical man I need 2 know how long has the truck been there, and is it still a runner, and lastly do u love or hate the sight of it?
Oh questions, questions forgive me I'm in a funny mood tonight.

No Phil, it isn't a runner. It's been there for years... as long as I've lived here at least, and that's been probably 18 years now!

I actually kinda like it. It may be a derelict truck, but it's neat, and very appropriate for the area. :)
