This is a distant view of the intersection of Third Street and Cherry Street in Macon, Georgia, the day after the Cherry Blossom Festival closes. The pansies in "Pansies on Cherry Street" are just faintly visible near the closest fire hydrant. All the visitors always miss the best part of the trees blooming! It was miraculous to catch this with no people. By request for some of the viewers of "Pansies on Cherry Street"

beautiful spot... you're right, you were very lucky to catch this with noone around. I love the lampposts and the beautiful blossoms. You've captured a very nice scene. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Heather! Wow, aren't those cherry blossoms just lovely!!! The last time I saw some of those was when I lived in Louisiana, that was about 27 yrs ago!! They are so pretty and that lamppost just makes the whole photo appear even prettier. The bench and the water fountain are nice too, its too bad that tall pole had to make its appearance right in the middle eh? sheesh!! Some day I am going to learn how to CLONE out those kinds of things. How about a photo of a close up maybe looking up into the top of the tree? So we can see the blossoms up close? Just a thought... But thank you for posting this most lovely photo..verena

A beautiful shot of home sweet home. The blooms are blowing all over the place now and it looks like a ticker tape parade. Very nice composition.
