Nice shot dragonchilde, I especially like the harmony in color between the yellow petals and the brown ground. I think taking the same shot from a slightly different angle would be a good idea as well, keep up the good work!

You have good color and great focus here. The background is a bit busy. That causes the viewers eye to roam from the subject matter. You can try for a tighter shot (zoom in or move in on the subject), or if your camera has a macro setting, try using that! Flowers are wonderful to photograph. Keep shooting with that camera and thank you for sharing this with me ;=_

What a lovely Lily soaking up the sunshine. Pretty shadows showing on the petals of this bloom, and a gorgeous sunny yellow color. The folks above have given very good advice. Hope to see more images from you Heather :^)
