You must have a great zoom lens eh?? No hawk would allow ya to get that close. But its wonderful you were able to get this shot...most of us will never see one that close up. He looks like such a smart bird! But I guess YOU were smarter for this shot!! smile

What a capture Don! He certainly does have his eye on you :). I like the detail that you show us in the feathers of this beautiful creature. I can also see the reflection in his eye! The BG shows off this hawk's colors perfectly. What a magnificent bird. Glad you are able to bring this to us. Into my fav's on my h/d :))

if you look closely, a reflection of people can be seen in its eye.. WOW! what a magnificent quality and clarity of the image! i'm so impressed with the great work you've made here!
the details are simply tremendous, astonishing and the whole image is spectacular! blurred background also focuses this magical bird, along with the superb lightning. i love the soft and warm colours on this one, they make the image more natural.. all in all, a great shot :) no.. a wondeful shot.. no.. a fantastic shot! :D
