Too bad it's a bit blurry, but that's an "Imperial Moth" -- see here.

I'm not sure I've ever seen an imperial moth. I usually don't like pics of moths, but this one is interestingly colored. I agree with gjwahl on the focus here, but that's something to strive for...clarity, I mean :)

Sorry he's a bit blurry. I've got a better one that I will post tomorrow. Yep, thanks GJWAHL, above, it's an Imperial alright. His wing span is 5 1/2 inches.

What a crazy looking moth. I feal your pain on the focus issue. I was tryng to take some picture of this Chymene moth and just about all the picture came out like this.
