I have had many people tell me there was no such thing as a white squirrel but I did get to take one picture of this guy before he took off again. Sorry about the picture quality but I really didn't have time to get ready for this picture.

Yup, you got him! He isn't albino, either, is he? Just white. There are black squirrels, too. Some on the White House lawn. Lots in Canada.

Hi Don, you have more witnesses in case they say this is a stuffed fake one! My husband and I have seen lots! Actually, right there in Exeter too! Home of the white squirrel. Browsing the web it appears there are a few other colonies in the world, but not many. Anyway, great shot of this one!! Thanks for sharing :-)

I have heard of Albinos but never seen one. My Westies really hate Squirrels. If there was ever one in my back yard I hope they let me know before they chase it off. Great spur of the moment capture.

The name ChuPat is derived from my nickname Chuck and my wife of 34 years name Patti. Her photography will appear on Caedes as well from time to time. I consider myself an advanced amature not anyway close to being a professional. I have just taken photography more seriously since I have switched to digital. My profession has always been associated with pohtography in one way or another. Any criticism I receive will be well appreciated.
Never have seen a white squirrel. This is adorable and a terrific capture. Nicely done.
