I went back one more time to the place the herons hang out and as luck would have it, they were there. I couldn't resist just one more picture of these guys so here it is, Hope you guys like it.
super portrait and all the details are in such sharp depiction
as ever in portraits the eyes have it
(unless youre breaking the rule, eyes must be in sharpest focus!)
the 1/3rds created by the shines / turbulence in the water makes to break up what might have been a solid background
Very nice & clear; near perfect clarity! Every detail on this are clearly visible right down to the feathers & texture of the legs! Excellent shot & the framing looks good too! Great job!! Very high marks if I get it in the booth!

Great job Don, they almost look like statues sometimes especially when they're watching something.(like dinner) LOL Very good clarity and presentation my friend.
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

Perfect clarity and wonderful colors Don. The lighting is magnificent and the framing is excellent. What a nice job you've done here. Thanks for sharing this one.
Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
I'm so glad you listened to that little voice in your head and went back Don.This is just a superb photo of this heron. I like your framing. It gives the photo here a vertical look emphasizing on the bird only and not the surroundings. Very nicely composed and one heck of a shot. Congrats!
