Los Hervideros (Lanzarote Island - Spain) are a series of caves and blow holes which have been eroded into a former volcanic lava flow. As the waves crash into the caves, mountains of white surf are produced, giving the appearance of 'Boiling Waters'.

Awesome Eder. The water is a beautiful shade of aqua and rushing in to the rocks spewing up white surf gives a wonderful sight. THe lighting, composition and clarity are all perfection. What an excellent post this is. Thanks for sharing it.

Amazing detail in the rocks and crashing waves, and the color of the water is superb.

Came here after seeing this in the voting booth. Womderful detail in this clear image. Those sharp rocky cliffs are outstanding. Very nice composition capture in your capture.

Just an old "Grampa" who still has a Kodak "Box" camera kicking around the attic ... learning and enjoying the wonders of modern digital photography.

I too saw this in the voting booth before I had a chance to comment on it here in the friend's list, and you can believe I gave it a 10...It's one of the most perfect shots I've had the privilege of seeing of a scene like this. The colors are alive in this presentation and it helps that mother nature decided to arrange this composition for you to capture. I'm just glad you had the great eye that you do and saw it, appreciated it and sent it on to us. Indeed your caption describes exactly what the waters are doing here under all that pressure..boiling and making us remember the sometimes incredible power in the beauty around us. :)PJ
