On my last sunset shot someone remarked that the lone soul in the photo was ignoring the scene. So here's one where the lone soul is paying due attention ... although I suspect he was looking for signs of food. Whatever the case, he stood there for a long while and indicated no concern whatsoever about me inching closer. Maybe I should have been the concerned one. For all I know, if I got too close he might have wing-beaten and beakwhacked me.

how can one use letters, words or prose against its own institution? is it not to say that this accepted alphabet can portray intolerable thoughts against itself; the reflection of these words represent the meaning of ones mindless inquiry, generalizing became this text. . .read the marks behind a letter of assurance/ freedom is jailed within. . ." _ EaB

The silhouette of the heron is fantastic in this beautiful sunset shot. Gorgeous all the way around.

Maybe a touch of Contrast and Sharpen to accentuate the detail in that expanse of water. Very nice capture. I expect you drugged the bird :-).

Ed, I just deleted paragraphs of ramblings about how your photographs have improved. This really is a wonderful shot, and I'm not going to make any jokes about it. Great title, interesting narrative and a lovely sunset. The silhouette of the heron really is the cherry on top of this banana split of a shot. How in the world did you get that close to the heron? Amazing stuff. But it wouldn't be a true critique if I didn't mention the vertical balance. I think the shot needs a drop more foreground and a drop less sky. But that's a personal preference, and I'll be the first to admit that I've never taken a photo half this good.

A nicely composed sunset scene. I like the silhouette of the heron against the colourful reflection of the sky.

What catches the eye is the orange golder color of the sky and the waves. The Bird could not have been in any better position for the picture. I is really a greatly taken shot. I am sure It will look splendid on my desktop ! :)
