This is a photo taken while in Florida and I'm posting it to help warm up those in northern parts going through an unusually frigid Spring, particularly me. I think it's a photo that, in a small way, illustrates why we are so drawn to nature. Besides the play of color there is the infinite detail from which emanates a sense of well being. Why that is I'm not entirely sure, probably the sense of order that comes from all that detail in serene repose. Let's save any talk about hurricanes for another day.

Whatever you do, Ed, don't listen to Doug. As far as I'm concerned the oranges are too orange and the blues....well, I won't even tell you what I think of the blues.
Seriously, if I can be serious for a moment (well, can I?), this is a wonderful image in spite of Doug's loathsome implications. I like the simplicity of a good silhouetted sunset. The shot is well balanced, I can find no noise to speak of, the clarity and focus are right on and the shot feels like spring. With the recent rain storms, I haven't seen the sun in well over a week; so thanks for reminding me what it looks like when it's below the horizon.

Since this showed up, I have turned off my ceramic heater. I would like to put it away for good!. I like the silhouette of the tree in this, and the gorgeous sunset.
