This is the replica of The Bounty made for the 1962 movie Mutiny on the Bounty. On a bicycle ride along the St. Lawrence Seaway in 1980 (I think) I paused to watch this vessel negotiate the Ste-Catherine locks. On a recent stopover in San Juan, Puerto Rico, our paths crossed once more. After taking this shot I went over to sign aboard but they were accepting only those with Pirate of the Caribbean credentials.

It's a beauty, Ed. The only item I'll mention is the exposure. A little negative gamma will reduce the slightly blown whites/lights in the background images.
Sorry. Forgot to mention the minor noise/grain visible in the sky area, and that could very well just be from the compression in the resized image.
Certainly a candidate for the permanent gallery.

Fantastic image. Enjoyed this. The credential thing is unfortunate.

I agree with Doug about the negative gamma, but I just don't see or hear the noise. He has better eyes than I do, I guess.

I'm surprised you didn't get aboard the ship. Why didn't you do like you usually do and just buy it. Didn't you tell me that you already own Puerto Rico?

This is a beautiful shot of "The Bounty". Too bad about the background. Couldn't you clone out the buildings and the tourists and drop in some hoolah dancers and some palm trees?

I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.
