I don't know the real name for this stretch of beach in San Juan, Puerto Rico but both it and an adjacent park behind have reportedly been groomed and prepared for the citizenry recently as places conducive to reading and meditation. The authorities hope that this kind of provision will help people reduce the stress of modern living and promote book reading as well. My first thought was that achieving the goal would depend much on choice of reading material. My second was that there was not a hint of book reading in either place. No, iPhones don't count.

This is a great photo. I like the reflection of the trees in the sand . Sky and water colors are wonderful. Well done.

Any sharks in the area ? LOL
It would be rather hard to concentrate on reading while a shark is attacking some swimmers in the nearest vicinity, so hopefully and probably there are none.
Most charming beach - I used to be a bookworm before I got my computer LOL
But reading Wikipedia or other sites should also count as reading.

I can see why the authorities would have a concern with the stress levels at this hell hole. If I was forced to live for an hour in this den of anxiety, I'd have a heart attack for sure. You must have used a very fast shutter speed in capturing the folks speeding from meeting to meeting. I can feel the indigestion from here as they gulp some coffee before their next appearance in the high level meetings in the board rooms. The poor folks who live the dead end life of climbing the social and business ladder in this dog eat dog environment usually die young and unsatisfied. I'd rather have a root canal than spend one minute in those warm, clear waters enjoying the sun, white sandy beaches and those gently breaking waves. Quick, hand me a Bible to read. Maybe a Psalm or two will calm me. Poor bastards. Ya gotta feel sorry for them.

I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.
