A moderately used railway bridge over the St. Lawrence River. I'm not sure if peeking at it through foliage adds any mystique but all by itself the span is a little stark. So this is my attempt to perk up its image with some of the copious detail provided by nature.

You and nature did a good job framing this pretty bridge. Well done.

Hi, Ed....

I actually understood every word every word in your narrative including copious. I'm quite proud of myself knowing that I'm starting to master Canadian. :-)

The jury is still out. I'm not sure if the foreground foliage helps or hinders. Let's just say that it's "there". Looks like a nifty bridge. This is a shot of the same bridge that I took last week while backstroking upstream. The current was a bit dodgy, but it was the only way to get a shot without having to rent a boat.

I may be schizophrenic, but at least I have each other.

Whether or not it adds to the mystique, it's a very good example of how to force attention on the primary subject material. It's also quite possibly, the most difficult in terms of balancing the exposure. There is a very slight left tilt, probably only a degree or two, but correcting it removes the appearance of the bridge tilting slightly towards the camera.
You did very well with this, Ed. The info is purely that.

Great looking photo of a interesting looking subject and love how you feel you just been on a long walk through a wood and came across this scene.Very nice depth of field and spot on detail plus focus too.
