Of course I liked Early October Ewa, you know that, but for entirely different reasons. The shadows & snow canopy give this scene much more depth, & mystery. It feels as though everything is deeply asleep, & if you listen very carefully, you'd be able to hear a leaf fall, or the blood rush thru your veins. Impressive indeed. Well done.

Wow, what a difference a season makes Ewa! Comapring the two images is quite amazing. I love the snow canopy that is formed by the trees. You have managed a good balance with the white of the snow. Thanks for showing us this beautiful place in two such different seasons. Well done my friend :~)

It's very eerie how the trees almost create a canopy being that they are weighed down by the ice. The woods are inviting you in for a while... A beautiful picture!

Handmaiden to history, chronicler of the mind and the heart, writing is humankind’s most far-reaching creation, it’s forms and designs endless. During the U.S. civil war, for example, a union soldier’s letter home was written in two directions to save scarce paper. In India an artisan made such limitation a virtue by inking an article’s bylines on grains of rice. And the words you are now reading were written on a computer equipped with some 800 styles of type. Yet the purpose of writing remains unchanged: to convey meaning, whether playful, mundane, or profound.
