Tanju, the vivid colors of the sails contrast very well with the hazy background. Beside that it's a beautiful image, for me it has a nostalgic touch as well because I teached many children how to sail. And the type of boat was (think you don't have to guess for it) was 'optimist' (depicted here with an 'O' in their only and quadrangular sail). Love this very fine post, Tanju! Regards, Cornelius.
Wwwwwooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwsssssss! This composition is fantaaasstic Tanju! This misty background with the city and the clear and sharp sails, this together is fantastic and very unique! Love it!
A wonderful photo, Tanju! The bright, festive colors of the sails and their reflections in the water look terrific against the hazy blue background. I love how the distant buildings are obscured by the haze and only the sailboats and foreground are sharp and clear. Beautiful!
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Tanju - It looks like fun! With the muted background of the city, these sailboats in the sunshine are colorful. I like the composition with the effective use of 'empty' space. Thad
Very nice photography . The front line is so colourful over the colourless faint background, has produced contrasting character of the photograph very sharp. .............Bijan
This is one very nice photo the water and colours are outstanding.Plus i like the back seen that is slightly covered by mist,if the mist was not there this picture would have been let down, but with the mist it brings the boats and water into focus.
Love the crisp colors well composed and well lite. I have just moved to Gemlik from Bursa city and have been lucky enough to have an all round sea view from the balcon so at the weekends like you I can watch the local sail club, they have such an array of colors to the sails.
