I definitely have to try this. I love the way the water look with the extended shutter speed. I have seen a few of them like that on here lately. It's a very nice effect. Great shot.
Eli, to be honest I've always prefered the crispness of a fast shutter speed for water shots, but you have come up with a nice image here. It almost gives the appearance of mist, and it shows the interesting track of the direction of the current. You have a very good eye!

Oh yes waterfalls are somuch fun if taken with a long shutterspeed. But you can do with a shorter speed as well, and smear and brush in a photo editor. The advantage is that you can choose your own part ot the water you want to blur/smear. This is a very nice image.
