This newt was picked up by a little girl, who carried it on the entire 2 mile hike. She wanted to take it home. :)

It's all been said very verbosely above, but I'll try to squeeze a few more descriptive words out of this shot.
The shot is very well focused. The little girl bites her nails, has a neat jacket and also has more guts than many adults I know. Carried it for two miles!!!!
I wish I could see the newt a little better, but they are known for their camouflage. That skin probably blends right into the dirt. Pretty good depth of field, nice detail work.

No newts is good newts - this one being the exception. The Photo shows good scale. Someone is biting their fingernails!
