Analog photo. Taken with Nikon F4 on Polaroid Instant Slide Film. Copied on Kodak Ektachrome 5" x 4" for printing. I used Polaroid film in order to get the beautiful grain. There is no manipulation what so ever, the light is due to some vaseline directly onto the lens. Shot is taken somewhere in the late '80ties. Photo was printed as a poster for Verkerke Posters European market.

Vaseline on the lens? Well, I never would have thought of that on my own. I can't stand even a grain of dust on the lens. LOL. You are a master of creative photography, Evert. The image is excellent, and the lady is...ah hem...Gorgeous.

Even without narrative your image tells a story, letting a lot room to one's imagination. Only professionals can do it this way.
Great post Evert. My congrats.

What a most beautiful photo. SO much feeling is portrayed in the photo itself, but also by the use of vaseline, I've done that before, but hesitate with my lovely Canon digital...feel I would never get that stuff off again!! heehee. So I either "fog" up the lens with my breath, or forget it..lol...I love the mood given by this photography of yours here.Nostalgic yes.I do appreciate so very much how you explain your techniques...too. Thank you my friend, for your wonderful creations. I always enjoy them. Verena

I remember the actress Cybil Shepherd was alway shot through vasaline, me they shoot through linoleum. And I love slide film. I have some slides of my father professionally shot in the late 60s and they are the most beautiful glowing color images. The slight slant looks like lazy movement on a hot afternoon.
