We were sitting on the runway in Phoenix, awating take-off, when the pilot announces, "We will be departing as soon as the debris is cleaned from the run-way".
We all looked at each other and you can use your imagination from this point. It actually was somewhat humorous at the time. It is a nice photo! Congrats.

(requested comment) I like this photo. The plane is impressive and imposing from this angle. I like the sheen on the runway and the light from stage right!

Well I came in via the voting booth. Terrific shot, well done. For a moment when I saw that tail - I remembered the good old VC10! Great atmospheric shot!

Very nice angle on the airplane...the proportions are just right. If I had another shot at this image, I would have tried to center the airplane (and the road markings) just a tiny bit to the left, and would perhaps have brightened the image a bit. Just a couple of tiny suggestions. Very nice work otherwise!

I am commenting on this image because I want to :) I like the lighting...it adds such an imposing mood to the entire capture(the palne itself from this angle is quite imposing). the composition couldn't be better in my opinion and this is already in my favorites. Good job. thanks for sharing it with me ;=)

Thanks for the comments! It was a bit tricky to center the plane on the taxi line, and get the setting sun in the shot as well. I was considering asking the pilots to line up their aircraft a little better for a "perfect" shot, but didn't think that would go over too well! ; ) ~ MB
