Hi there and a warm welcome to caedes! I know you will like it here, there are many good artists and lots of things we learn from each other..I like this first posting of yours...are those real people inside or statues? The light of course is the main thing..but I like the silhouettes of the trees too...nice work..looking forward to yoru next posting..verena
This picture give me a bit of christmas feeling, reminds me of those small houses you can put candles in :) Also the fog gives it a "winter near the coast"-feeling. Perhaps you could experiment with it in photoshop to make the colour even varmer? Also, I think I would have placed the building a bit higher up in the pic, it's a bit to centered now, I feel, especially since the sky isn't too interesting.
These are just suggestions, and perhaps those changes will ruin the feeling that makes this picture nice..
Looking forward to see more of your pics here!
I agree with the comments about the Christmas feeling (like the small lighted ceramic houses and whatnot), and I think if the lights were dimmed just slightly it would look more real in that unreal sort of way - like how sometimes when you see a close up of one of those ceramic display villages, for a second you can't tell if it's the real thing or not.
Nice image, so keep posting.
