This is an Australian native plant common in much of the east coast. Its latin name is Lambertia Formosa. It flowers all year round. The flower has a furry barrier inside to stop insects taking the nectar, leaving it for the honeyeaters who pollinate the plant.

Are you sure you didn't get this made at a pastry shop? It looks delicious. LOL. Excellent foofy post. That is a foofy I don't recall seeing before, but that doesn't mean I haven't. I forget a lot.
