Like many coastal lakes in NSW, Swan Lake is normally closed to the ocean. After a period of heavy rain the lake breaks through the sand barrier, releasing mature fish and for a while establishing a tidal flow bringing new life into the lake.

Those waters sure are rough. It's no wonder there are no boats in this shot. They have all been sunk! Nice post, Frank.

I love the force of the water and contrasts of colors. The clouds seem to echo the waves. I too enjoy observing the changes in the coast after a storm or rain. More fishing birds too. : )

A beautiful coastal scene, Frank! Nice clarity and colours. I really like the action in the waves and the scenery in the background.
