These limestone cliffs are the remnants of an ancient coral reef. These days they form part of the shoreline of the Fitzroy River in north west Australia. This photo was taken in the dry season. In the wet season, the river rises 16.5 metres (50 feet). The marks from previous wet seasons can be clearly seen.

Gorgeous capture and love the angle showing us these beautiful rock formations.

Is the water level where the rocks are lighter in colour. That's a huge difference.

And I can see that the river is undercutting the limestone cliffs, making water's-edge caves. This is a beautiful natural formation.
